What have they done to Marlboro Mediums?

I had read in various places that Marlboro Mediums were not being discontinued, yet last week buying my cartons in NH they had these things on special for $42 in the exact same packaging called "Marlboro Special Blend." I liked Mediums as a cheaper backup for my fave Newport 100's, and sometimes get the regulars, especially when it's freezing out, since I can suck 1 down in 5 min.

Anyone else run into this? I can't tell yet if they're the same.
